Newly cast rubber rollers should not be put into use immediately.

Due to the internal structure of the newly cast rubber rollers not being stable enough, using them immediately can easily reduce their lifespan. Therefore, newly produced rubber rollers should be placed for a period of time to allow them to stabilize in response to the external temperature and humidity, which can increase the toughness of the rubber and improve durability.

Proper storage of idle rubber rollers.

Rubber rollers that are to be used should be cleaned thoroughly, wrapped in plastic film, and placed on a roller rack. They should not be casually piled together or leaned against a wall, as this may cause unnecessary damage to the rubber. Old rubber rollers should not be thrown around or pressed heavily during transportation for processing and casting, and care should be taken to keep the roller core straight and unbent to ensure normal use.

The ends of the rubber roller and bearings should be kept well lubricated.

We know that the precision of the rubber roller ends and bearings directly affects the ink transfer and application effects. Poor lubrication can lead to wear and gaps in the rubber roller ends and bearings, which will inevitably result in uneven ink color during printing. It can also cause issues like ink jumping or slipping, leading to printing marks. Therefore, it is important to regularly lubricate the rubber roller ends and bearings to prevent wear and ensure the normal use of the rubber rollers, thus ensuring print quality. In the printing process, the key is the balance control of the water and ink paths, which relies on the rubber and ink rollers as critical components. Their quality directly impacts product quality, especially in gravure, flexo, and offset printing. Generally, printing companies perform maintenance on their equipment weekly, which includes the maintenance of rubber rollers.

The maintenance methods are as follows:

1. After daily production operations, the rubber rollers should be carefully cleaned, washing them twice.

2. Cleaning printing rubber rollers must use designated chemical agents, such as industrial alcohol, and must not use corrosive solvents.

3. During holidays, rubber rollers should be removed to prevent deformation from pressure.

4. For the protection of the surface of printing rubber rollers, they should be wrapped in newsprint and placed in a ventilated, dark place.
