What is a rubber roller? A rubber roller refers to a cylindrical product made with a metal or other material core, covered with rubber that has been vulcanized. Depending on its use, it can be classified into paper-making rubber rollers, dyeing rubber rollers, printing rubber rollers, grain processing rubber rollers, metallurgy rubber rollers, and oil printing rubber rollers, among others. Based on surface shape, it can be divided into flat rollers and patterned rubber rollers; based on materials, it can be divided into butyl rubber rollers, nitrile rubber rollers, polyurethane rubber rollers, and silicone rubber rollers, etc. Generally, it consists of an outer rubber layer, a hard rubber layer, a metal core, a roller neck, and ventilation holes. Its processing includes sandblasting the roller core, adhesive treatment, rubber coating forming, wrapping, wire winding, vulcanization in a vulcanization tank, and surface processing. Rubber rollers are mainly used in paper-making, dyeing, printing, grain processing, metallurgy, plastic processing, and other fields. Newly cast rubber rollers should not be put into use immediately. Due to the internal structure of newly cast rubber rollers not being stable enough, using them immediately can easily reduce their lifespan. Therefore, newly produced rubber rollers should be left for a period of time to allow them to stabilize after being exposed to the external environment's temperature and humidity, which can increase the toughness of the rubber, thereby improving durability. Rubber rollers that are to be used should be cleaned thoroughly and wrapped in plastic film, placed on a rubber roller rack, and should not be casually piled together or leaned against a wall to avoid unnecessary damage to the rubber. Old rubber rollers should not be thrown, placed haphazardly, or subjected to heavy pressure during transportation for processing and casting, to keep the roller core from being misaligned or bent, ensuring the normal use of the roller core. Additionally, the rubber roller shaft heads and bearings should be well-lubricated. We know that the precision of the rubber roller shaft heads and bearings directly affects the ink transfer and application effect. Poor lubrication leading to wear and gaps in the rubber roller shaft heads and bearings will inevitably result in uneven ink color during printing. It can also cause printing marks due to issues like rubber jumping or slipping. Therefore, it is important to regularly lubricate the rubber roller shaft heads and bearings to prevent wear and ensure the normal use of the rubber roller, thereby ensuring printing quality.
